In March 2013 we set about filming and directing a six part series focusing on six individuals called Natives.
They are Nathan Williams, Shane Weston, Geoff Slattery, Darryl Tocco, Chester Blacksmith and Sean Burns. This, the first part is with Shane Weston. We visit Shane’s hometown, see where he grew up and ask him a few questions on life, his upbringing and what’s this whole going backwards thing about… (more…)

Nathan had a sick idea for an instagram competition and we jumped at the chance to do it. So head over here and get stuck in!! eclatbmx.com/instaicepick
Part 3 of our #freeandsleazy tour took us all the way into Europe, starting in the U.K and working our twisted path down into France and over to Germany. This video is the result of 10 days in Europe featuring Sean Burns, Shane Weston, IZ Pulido, Chester Blacksmith, an injured Darryl Tocco and the return of Ashley Charles. Phil Demattia was around for the U.K leg and Dennis Erndhart was there for the German days. (more…)

Ashley recently took a small vacation in the warm up to his return to riding, we sent him to portland so he returned with some photos and a little write up.

This has been up a while and already got over 8k views. The edit and full microsite is coming next week so stay tuned.
At the start of this year we chose three diverse destinations around the world to take trips to and for no other purpose than riding BMX, hanging out and seeing the world in all its weird and wonderful glory. In April of this year we hit up our second destination. Shanghai was ours for 12 days and 11 nights and we had over 2,448 square miles to cover, 16 districts, 210 towns and sub districts to explore and ride. 12 days really wasn’t enough.
The following video explores our time spent in China, our first and last impressions.
Filmed and edited by Will Evans.
Special thanks to Kane, Kenji (iBMX) George Jackson and the CNBMX collective. Without them we would have been lost in the depths of China.
Sunday in the UK saw some nice temperatures, a change from the dam right crappy weather we’ve been having. I thought it would be cool to Tye Dye a bunch of Eclat t shirts, the result was pretty funny. We now have 10 t shirts all one offs and all completely hand dyed. Some will go to the team but some may end up being signed and auctioned for a nice charity, maybe some old hippies in SF who need a few quid.
Step 1, sort out your colors
Step 2, get a fork and twist it round the t shirt to get that sick swirly effect
Step 3, get some leggy bands round it like a pizza and apply a little color
Like this!
Stripes work too...

Leave them for 24 hours
rinse them and hang them out
