Tires are tires right? We think not. Long gone are the days when any old tire will do and today more than ever, the rubber that rolls you around needs to be exactly what you desire.

At Eclat we went directly to the team first, we asked them what kind of tire they would like and we worked closely to create ‘The Ridgestone’. Its not just a nice looking tire either, it’s a perfect mix of tread amount, slick and overall thickness. It’ available in two versions – a slick version and a knobbly version for more grip.

It’s ideal for street riding or ramps and tough enough to take the strain these days. Nathan was involved in the early stages of creation and the initial drawings, he bounced ideas back and forth with Shane to think up the name and together with our product designers we ended up with what we think is one of our best and most progressive tires yet.

Made from the frozen tears of a virgin unicorn stolen from the rings of Saturn. No, no, wait thats something else. The Vent sprocket is made from 6061-T6 alloy and features some of our finest CNC machining yet. The Vent offers a simple and smooth look that compliments any set-up thanks to its unique three spoke design. Each of these spokes are internally machined to reduce weight, dont worry though, we did it in a way that doesn’t compromise the overall structural strength. These high end pieces of samurai weaponry come in either black, blue or high polished finish. The Vent also has a sinked adapter which makes for better chain alignment.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, anyone who likes to...

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, anyone who likes to geek out on the details of a seat, take note.

Since the pivotal mechanism got established so did a certain look to this type of seat, with most brands offering near identical designs. We wanted to build a stronger seat but also express a more assertive and considered aesthetic.

Our first decision was to move the pivotal base deeper into the seat so that it could not be seen from the side. From here we worked on a new internal rib construction that helped distribute load from heavy landings more evenly throughout the seat. From the outside this construction wasn’t going to be very pretty, so we needed to style it. We gave the seat base a carved technical look that reflected the construction that was going on inside. This also helped give the seat its unique technical and futuristic style.

The OZ seat is what we like to think of as a reflection of minimalism in the vast world of pivotal seats. While we love the idea of re-inventing parts, we also love to keep things simple. The OZ is made from 100% poly propylene, this years versions come in denim and kevlar too.

Stripped down, the OZ is basically a cool looking and simple pivotal seat, which as riders we all really value.

Theres no denying it, we waited a long time for Darryl to enter the éclat signature parts party. Darryl approached us because he was he wanted to develop something that would be a little wider, that would help when throwing the bars and feel like theres actually something between your knees.

The super fat padded design was built around the OZ base with a unique woven label patch. So whats with the window seat? Because Darryl always likes the window seat on a Flight.

(Why D24? well, because he was 24 when he joined éclat, and D for Darryl, obviously).

When we spoke to Nathan about developing a nylon/fibreglass peg we quickly realised we didn’t need to follow the way the current pegs on the market were and look more towards the future.

The peg is designed with a heat treated crmo inner peg, that is then injected with a surrounding layer of nylon/fiberglass. This makes the peg incredibly strong and even when worn through, the plastic holds onto the inner peg. You can just rotate and keep on grinding.

If you have never heard of Nathan Williams then you need your head checking, the BMX innovator from Nashville has been riding and progressing for a while now and continues to raise the bar in terms of ‘technical street riding’ and just doing his own thing. When it came down to working on a stem together he had some interesting ideas, using the pinch system was something we incorporated and just keeping it lightweight and strong was on top of the list. Made from 6061-T6 Alloy and fully CNC machined. It has a 49mm reach and has a unique offset rear for an improved clamping system. Nathan wanted to stem that was going to look, feel great and do the job it was meant for, a brief we felt we were able to deliver.
